SEA-MW Young Members Group

The Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington Young Members Group (SEAMW-YMG) is a group that provides a community for young structural engineers to interact with their peers in the structural engineering industry along with their counterparts in other parts of the community such as young architects and contractors. The SEAMW YMG is geared toward EIT’s and new PE’s who are currently working or interested in the structural engineering industry. The goal is create a forum for young structural engineers to gather and help them grow and develop professionally by exposing them to experiences, structural design issues and procedures, and networking beyond what they normally encounter in their everyday business.

The SEAMW Young Members Group will:

  • Provide opportunities to get involved in community outreach programs such as Rebuilding Together
  • Plan networking events such as happy hours
  • Organize seminars on structural design topics
  • Provide a resource for young engineers to get advice, guidance, and learning tools from experienced Structural Engineers
  • Help young engineers meet other engineers and design professionals in the industry

If interested, please contact SEAMWYMG@gmail.com to have your contact information added to the mailing list and join our Facebook or LinkedIn page to stay up to date on the groups activities.
